Responsibility Matters

Each task has only one user who is responsible for its resolution. It may happen that original task becomes bigger, so it may involve many users. It’s not correct to share the responsibility of a single task among several users since that way each involved user may think the task is not his/her especially if something goes wrong. Therefore, it’s not right to make big tasks and attach more and more users for resolving them. The right option is to divide complex tasks on small parts (i.e. little tasks) and to assign only one user to each part.

The less we plan (work with task management) the more we have issues then. There is no silver bullet how to ideally plan tasks but at least we may keep some basic rules so that get rid of obvious mistakes.
